What we use and why

When you contact us, we use the contact details, messages and role information you provide to answer your enquiry and discuss a possible chef booking, managed profile collaboration or cooking assignment. Please do not send identity documents, medical records, allergies or private household access details in an initial enquiry. Essential food-safety information must be discussed separately before any cooking. Providing information is voluntary; without relevant contact and role details, we may be unable to assist.

Our basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and assessing role fit (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), steps requested by a household towards or performance of a contract with that household (Article 6(1)(b)), and consent where separately requested, for example to keep a candidate introduction for future roles (Article 6(1)(a)). An initial enquiry does not give consent to publish a profile or receive marketing.

Sharing and retention

This website does not currently publish individual chef profiles. Any proposed public profile, photograph use or platform management requires specific authorisation. Relevant chef details are shared with a prospective client only with the appropriate permission. Relevant information may also be handled by providers for email, website hosting and LinkedIn, where you choose that channel. Contact us for details of recipients and any applicable international-transfer arrangements before submitting a detailed CV.

We retain information only for as long as needed for the enquiry or agreed work. Speculative candidate introductions are deleted within six months. Keeping a profile for future opportunities requires separate, optional consent with a stated retention period; replying to an enquiry alone does not provide that consent. Contract and accounting records may need to be retained longer to meet legal obligations or handle claims. We do not make automated hiring decisions.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive portable data where the right applies. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Write to the contact above. You can also complain to the Danish Datatilsynet.

Meal-planner downloads

Submitting “Create my recipe PDF” sends your name, email, optional town or area, cooking-location preference, portion count, seven recipe selections and email-consent choice to Nordic's website database. We use them to provide your requested recipe download and, where you separately choose it, one introductory offer email. The required privacy acknowledgement is not consent to advertising. Providing the requested download is based on steps you request for that service (Article 6(1)(b)); the optional offer email relies on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)). No newsletter subscription, account, purchase or booking is created.

Selections and portions, but not your contact details, are temporarily saved in your browser's session storage so you can return to the planner in the same browser session. Submitted data is held in the Site's platform database, served using Cloudflare infrastructure. When email sending is configured, the email and requested recipe link are sent through Resend. The form displays whether email copies are currently enabled; a download can work without an email being sent. An accepted provider request is not a delivery guarantee. A private recipe link is valid for 14 days; anyone you give the link to can access that recipe selection, so do not share it if you want it to remain private.

Inactive demo leads expire after 180 days. Expired records are removed in bounded batches on subsequent submissions; they are no longer accessible through download links. If no further submissions occur, administrative deletion is needed. Consent versions and submission timestamps are stored to record your choice. Technical anti-abuse identifiers use hashes rather than raw IP addresses, expire within 48 hours and are removed on later submissions. Enquiry or booking records retained separately follow the retention rules above. Contact us for deletion, access or details of service providers and international-transfer safeguards.

You can withdraw offer-email consent at any time using the confirmation link in the offer email or by writing to nordic@sergiisern.com. This does not affect earlier lawful processing or cancel a booking. We do not make automated hiring decisions or health assessments. Please do not submit health data, allergies, identity documents or home-access information in this demo.

Other enquiry pages

The chef and household enquiry pages still prepare an email on your device. Entering details or pressing “Prepare my email” does not send them to Nordic or save those form entries to our database. Review the draft and send it through your own email provider, or copy it into an email. It is an enquiry, not a confirmed booking or application outcome.

Nordic has not added advertising trackers or analytics. Hosting, email and LinkedIn providers may process technical requests under their own terms. Detailed private onboarding, public chef profiles and bookings on other platforms require their own information and agreements before use.
